My puppy loves this rug. It’s made well. Plus it contains extra items. The box it arrived in can be used as a suitcase for traveling.

My dog’s first hour with this mat was extraordinary! He loved the elephant’s legs and tearing off the “mouse” that is Velcroed to the strap. And, of course, seeking out the few treats I hid in the mat’s folds. It is a very cute mat and appears well made. Sadly, he has a short attention span and has barely returned to it since his initial introduction. I’ve put a few more treats in it, but he finds those rather quickly. He’s smart enough to pick the mat up by a corner and shake it so that all the treats fall out. Oddly, if I use the strap to secure it around a chair leg (as the manufacturer suggests), the crinkly elephant legs are somewhat out of reach. The suction cup does not work on our floors. This is a big mat that can secret away a lot of treats or several ounces of kibble…I suppose one could set this up while watching TV and put it out as the next day….it just takes more time to set up than I get back in free time. I will take this out to use on special occasions after he’s forgotten about it for a while. If your dog likes snuffle mats and you don’t mind the tedium of filling them, this is an attractive and well made mat. But if you don’t end up using it much, it’s expensive.

I rarely write reviews, but this snuffle mat truly deserves one! The quality is excellent, and the obstacles on the mat are well-designed. They keep my dog engaged and entertained while searching for treats, without being overly difficult or easy. I’ve purchased several snuffle mats before, but this one has quickly become Eda’s favourite.

I also like the additional tugged & pop-out toy included, which can be used separately—SMART design! I’ve tried several other mats before, this one is by far the best in terms of durability and even offers so many extra ways to play. Highly recommend this for anyone with an active and playful pup!

Overall, this snuffle mat functions exactly as it should. We can hide chunks of treats, or crush and sprinkle treats. Our pup (with help from our 12 week old kitten!) spends an average of 45 minutes with this mat. It is worth the current $65 price tag. I could have saved a lot of money if I'd found this one first.
